TOP-Tanzschuh! Extrem weich, drückt nicht, Füsse werden auch an langen Tanzabenden nicht müde und super stylish finde ich dieses Modell ausserdem! Schuhgröße ist auch meine reguläre Standardgröße, Absatzhöhe ist genau richtig. Ich fühle mich rundum wohl in meinen Rivieras – da sie auch immer zum Outfit passen müssen, habe ich schon 4 Paare 🙂

Das waren meine ersten Saint Savoys. Ich hab sie angezogen und gleich den ganzen Abend Balboa getanzt… nicht eine einzige Blase! 😊 Sie sitzen absolut bequem und passen zu allem. Ich habe sie in meiner regulären Schuhgröße gekauft.

I am a bit disappointed in my Saint Savoy shoes. The picture shows these shoes to have a “Pearl” color in the back when in reality they are stark WHITE!!! So disappointing and feel misled by these pictures….A Pearl is iridescent showing luminous colors that seem to change when seen from different angles (as they look in the picture), not stark white!!! It took me so long to measure my foot, decide on the heel which is nice, just not what I expected!!!

Gah! So beautiful! This is such a warm, rich gold. They are stunning. I also have the regular Rivieras and I find these not to be too much higher but just that little bit more dressy and oh so elegant.

In the regular Riviera I’m a 39 but in these I took a 38.

Meine ersten Savoys, die ich als Geschenk bekam. Ich trage sie immer noch total gern, auch weil sie mit dem etwas höheren Absatz perfekt für Anlässe sind, die etwas schicker sind und bei denen es nicht ‘nur’ ums Tanzen geht.
Saint Savoys sind die einzigen Schuhe bei denen ich mich ohne Probleme beim Tanzen voll auf die Hacken stellen kann, ohne dass was passiert. Bombenqualität und eben zum Tanzen designed!

I think I might be one of the first follows who had the pleasure to own these lovely shoes – it was love at first sight and still is. They are simple gorgeous – very high in quality of leather, sole, stitching and design of course. Even after countless dances and the years I own them (they traveled with me A LOT) they haven’t lost their shape and still look mighty fine. I can highly recommend buying a pair of those coming in the common high quality and longevity Saint Savoys are renowned for and also a beautiful shoe bag and great customer service!

Meine “Riviera High Black Pearl” sind einfach traumhaft. Lange habe ich nach Schuhen gesucht, die zu hochwertiger 40s/50s-Bühnengarderobe passen, nicht zu hoch sind, eine tolle Passform haben und auch nach einem langen Konzert keine brennenden Füße verursachen. Nach einigen Fehlgriffen in allen Preislagen, habe ich sie mit den “Riviera High” gefunden. Mittlerweile kommen sie auch im Alltag zum Tragen, wenn etwas Absatz gefragt ist. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Modell, das ich bereits seit geraumer Zeit im Auge habe.

How to Care for Your Dance Shoes:

The Ten Commandments for Spiffy and Comfy Shoes

Dance shoes undergo an array of very specific stresses. We see the signs of wear on our shoes as a sign of our love for dancing. However, by following a few simple tips for care, we can easily extend the life of our favourite shoes:

Care for your feet! A well-tended foot has short nails and soft skin free of callouses that may cause uncomfortable pressure.
Should I waterproof my dance shoes?
Always fully open your shoes before slipping into them, and use a shoehorn to help maintain their form.
At Saint Savoy, we use high quality leather for the inside, too. If this lining should cause marks, we recommend a dash of hairspray. It really is surprising how well a thin layer sprayed into the interior of your shoe will makes this problem disappear.
If your dance shoes are dusty or dirty after a long night out, rub them with a soft, moist cloth. Always remember to clean your shoes before applying polish.
It'’s easy to make sure your Saint Savoy shoes keep on shining: try spit and a soft leather brush, or using an old nylon stocking to polish them. It works great, really!
Our shoes are made of fine calf leather. It is important to use high-quality shoe polish to maintain the pliability of leather and seams. We recommend using products containing lanolin. We also advise that you use colourless care products – your clothing and your dance partner will thank you!
Rub leather-covered heels and the shoe’s frame well with polish, too.
Dirt can be washed off Saint Savoy’s special Sender Sole using a mild soap solution and a soft cloth.
Put a shoetree or crumpled newspaper in your shoes after wearing them. This will smooth wrinkles from walking, as well as absorb moisture.

Take care of your feet! A well-tended foot has short nails and soft skin without any callouses that may cause uncomfortable pressure. This will make your shoes more comfortable. There are more sensory cells in our feet than in our face. They ensure our support, balance, and mobility. We demand a very high performance from our feet, especially when dancing, without ever really thanking them for it. Almost no other body part is as underestimated as our feet, even though they are true masterpieces of evolution. A foot massage with moisturizing cream is really a treat for stressed feet; after all, one foot alone has 26 bones, 13 muscles, and 10 joints!
